1Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika in a medium bowl. Cut the butter in to the dry mixture and rub it until it is completely blended using your fingertips or a pastry blender. If you prefer to use a food processor, pulse the dry ingredients and butter until it resembles a fine meal. Toss the grated cheese into the mixture, then add the buttermilk and fold it in until it is just incorporated.
3Using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, drop large mounds of biscuits 2 inches apart on the parchment lined baking sheet. Bake on center oven rack for about 25 minutes until the biscuits are golden. Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush with melted butter. Serve warm.
